Music Paradise

Judging by the artwork on Skull Daze's debut full-length release a few of the members blow their paychecks on make-up and hair gel. While the photo of the band on their self-titled CD may conjure up sounds of pop-rock bands like Poison or Reckless Love, nothing could be further from the truth. These Italian rockers are much heavier than your typical glammed-up rockers, falling somewhere between Crashdiet and the Killer Dwarfs.

The Lizards are back with their first new album of original material since 2006 and while it has been a long wait, after giving it a few spins I can say it is well worth the wait.

Saints & Sinners is a 1992 album, released by the Canadian glam metal band of the same name. "Walk That Walk", "We Belong" and "Takin' My Chances" were released as singles. The album was produced by Aldo Nova.

Rock 'N' Roll is the third album by the Canadian alternative rock band Social Code. It was released on September 1, 2009, with the first single "Satisfied" released on iTunes on July 28, 2009.

If there's one thing I love about the Von Hertzen Brothers, it's that they know how to give us variety and personality. These guys have the chops to do whatever they want; but, like their other albums, "Nine Lives" is a big ol' bag of tricks of all shapes and sizes.

Going Back Home is a collaborative studio album by former Dr. Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson and The Who lead vocalist Roger Daltrey. The album features ten original songs by Johnson and a cover of Bob Dylan's "Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?".

'Jettblack' is a glam hard rock band from the UK and 'Get your hands dirty' is their second album. I first became aware of the group as they opened for 'Reckless love' during their latest 2010 UK tour. Frankly I was really looking forward to this release since. Having reviewed a few UK bands of this genre, I have to agree that 'Jettblack' is one of those cases where everything seems to fall into place: Great compositions, powerful performances, great looks, tons of style and of course awesome front cover.
