Flying Fantasies

This book contains hundreds of flying machines that were only dreamed of or conceived on paper only. Although I could be wrong, I found no record to confirm that any of them were ever built, although some may have been built in model form. Most of these designed, patented, flying creations never left the drawing board, let alone the ground. I didn’t include most of the ma-chinery only-type flying machines, although I did keep a few of the more interesting ones, be-cause I thought they should at least have room for a pilot. Researching this book was fun and fascinating, albeit, a lot of work. I hope you will be as en-tertained and fascinated as much as I was while I searched for these weird, wonderful, ancient and sometimes legendary, flying “Dream Machines.” –Terrence I. Murphy
