Soundtrack to Alan Parker's 1978 Columbia Pictures movie "Midnight Express" starring Brad Davis, Irene Miracle, John Hurt and Billy Hayes. Produced by Alan Marshall and David Puttnam. Based on a true story of Bill Hayes, from the same titled book by Billy Hayes and William Hoffer. Screenplay by Oliver Stone.
The movie won 2 Oscars in 1979 (Best Writing, Best Music). This was Moroder's first movie score.
