File, partition, disk and system encryption. VeraCrypt is the improved successor of TrueCrypt.
Now VeraCrypt supports UEFI/GPT in addition to BIOS/MBR.
VeraCrypt adds enhanced security to the algorithms used for encryption making it immune to new developments in brute-force attacks.
With the help of VeraCrypt you have the possibility to select the encryption algorithm you are interested in, modify the hash algorithm according to your preference, specify the volume size you want to create, and quickly generate a password-protected partition.
VeraCrypt is compatible to TrueCrypt (but TrueCrypt only supports BIOS/MBR and not UEFI/GPT).
Changes in v1.18 Beta 9: some improvements and bug fixes.
