In this course you’ll learn advanced rendering and vector techniques, including creating and using custom sprayer brushes, using gradient meshes to render shapes and objects, using gradients and other interactive tools to render objects, and using textures and text to add quick details to an illustration. You will primarily use basic shapes to build a digital still-life scene, allowing you to focus more on lighting and shadow and less on drawing. You will learn how to balance your design with a harmonious color palette and play around with composition. In the end, you'll have illustrated a still life that's completely made up, but retains a semi-realistic feel and is a great jumping-off point for advancing your digital illustration skill set.
